Spring has sprung & we are all very happy about it. As usual we have lots of new Classes, Workshops,
Tea Parties, Retreats & two new Block-Of-The-Month projects lined up for you to indulge in. We also have
lots of new fabrics from all of our favorite fabric designers that have been arriving almost daily, along with
new spring patterns & samples to inspire you. I look forward to seeing you all soon, but until then, think
spring and enjoy our new class schedule.

Class Policy
**Class size is limited and payment for class is at time of registration.
**If you register by phone, credit card payment is expected.
**If you cancel from a class you must give us 7 days notice in order to
receive a store credit.
**Because of our busy schedule we do not have make-up classes, so, PLEASE
Mark your calendar & make every effort to arrive prepared.
**We reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum.
**Supply lists are available only after registration & payment has been made.
**It is the responsibility of the student to pick up the needed supply list & supplies
Prior to the date of class.
HOLIDAYS AT HOME-BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH – This is a six month BOM class that meets on the 1st
Friday of each month May thru October. It is a Christmas quilt that measures 62”x 62”. Since it finishes in
October you’ll have it for Christmas.
Class starts May 7th 2:00-4:00 or 7:00-9:00 Fee: $50.00 plus supplies
MY COUNTRY GARDEN-BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH – This 12 month project is a beautiful quilt with
machine piecing & hand applique. Choose any color combination to really personalize to your home décor.
Class meets the 3rd Friday of each month.
Class starts May 21st 2:00-4:00 or 7:00-9:00 Fee: (2) Installments
$50.00 (6) months each
GREAT GRAMMA’S TRIPLE IRISH CHAIN – This machine pieced quilt has small pieces with a vintage
feel. It is a great accent piece to through over a chair.
Thursdays, April 29th, May 13th, 20th & 27th Fee: $35.00 plus supplies
2:00-4:00 or 7:00-9:00
FINISH IT UP FRIDAY– This is a perfect opportunity to dig out those (UFO’s) & finish
them up. Bring what ever you need help on to class & I will circulate the room &
assist everyone with their projects. Light summer supper will be served.
Fridays, April 30th or July 30th 6:00-10:00 Fee: $15.00
BALTIMORE BEAUTY WALLHANGING- This is a wonderful wallhanging with dimensional appliquéd
flowers. Previous applique experience required.
Class meets the 1st Thursday of the month for 4 months.
May 6th, June 3rd, July 1st & Aug 5th 7:00-9:00 Fee: $35.00 plus supplies
COTTON APPLIQUE FOR BEGINNERS – In this 2 week class you will learn the techniques of hand
applique & make a beautiful block you can use for a pillow or wallhanging.
Saturdays, May 8th & 15th 10:00-12:00 Fee: $20.00 plus supplies
QUILTER’S GO GREEN BAG – This large size bag is easy to machine piece with a quilt block on both
sides. It will hold all your class supplies or take it to the market.
Saturdays, May 8th & 15th 2:00-5:00 Fee: $25.00 plus supplies
ANTIQUE TREASURES TEA PARTY – What a nice way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Enjoy an afternoon of
sewing & homemade desserts while you create an antique reproduction sewing case. A collection of some
of my Antique Sewing Notions will be on display.
Sunday, May 9th 2:00-5:00 Fee: $30.00 Includes Kit
BETTER BORDERS & BEAUTIFUL BINDINGS – Many of you have asked for this Workshop so that you
can fine tune your quilts. Learn the techniques used to have all of your quilts lay flat without wavy borders
& the professional way to cut, sew & apply a binding.
Sunday, May 16th 1:00-4:00 Fee: $15.00 plus supplies
HAND PIECING WORKSHOP – This is a 1 week Workshop for learning how to hand piece curves & fine
points. Hand piecing is a great take along summer project.
Sunday, May 23rd 1:00-4:00 Fee: $15.00 plus supplies
CHRISTMAS CLUB BONUS – This Workshop was so well received in our last newsletter that we decided
to schedule another date for those of you who could not get into the first session. Each month for 6 months
we will be making a different project that you can repeat for holiday gifts.
Club meets the 1st Saturday of each month 9:00-12:00 or 1:00-4:00
Register for June, July & August Fee: $35.00 plus supplies
September, October & November $35.00 plus supplies

WEEKEND RETREAT – STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE & BLUEBERRY PIE – Arrive on Saturday at 9:00,
Sew until noon when we break for lunch (bring a bagged lunch) we will serve blueberry pie, then, we will
resume sewing at 1:00 until 5:00.
Return on Sunday at noon for a light summer lunch with Strawberry Shortcake for dessert & finish up by 5:
00. We will be making a Blueberry Pie Wallhanging & Strawberry Shortcake Tablerunner.
Saturday & Sunday, June 12th & 13th Fee: $60.00 plus supplies
INDEPENDENCE DAY ICE CREAM SOCIAL – Join us on the 4th of July for an array of Ice Cream Treats &
create another delightful “Pickering Farm Design” project.
Sunday, July 4th 2:00-5:00 Fee: $30.00 Includes Kit
FIRECRACKER STARS WORKSHOP – Join us for this 1 day Workshop to create a patriotic quilt with easy
patchwork & stars. Muffins & coffee served at 9:00 (bring a bagged lunch); dessert will be served in the
afternoon.
Saturday, July 17th 9:00-5:00 Fee: $40.00 plus supplies
DAY CAMP FOR QUILTERS
This summer we will be offering a unique program for 5 days in July.
Camp starts on Monday July 19th & continues until Friday July 23rd.
Class starts at 10:00 each day & ends at 4:00 each afternoon.
Pickering Farm will provide a light summer lunch everyday.
Each day we will work on a different quilt pattern all made from the same collection of fatt ¼’s. Each pattern
is done in just 2 colors (darks & lights) with three of the quilts having an accent color added. This is a great
way to make an entire collection for the holidays (red & white) or for a special room. You could also use
them for Christmas Gifts.
Day Camp Fee: $150.00 Plus supplies
